In the Getting Started with Lenormand post I provided a list of simple associations which included:
Clover, 6 of Diamonds, Small Luck, Getting lucky, Fast, Witty, Brief, Cash, Green, Spring
For many of us, I am sure the first thing we think of with Clover is Luck. How many of us hunted in the Spring with our Elders for the coveted four-leafed Clover?
But before we explore luck, let’s think of Spring. Clover is one of the most verdant and rapidly growing crops in the thawing season. it grows often rampantly and is a critical first food for our friend the Bees.
So we see here timing-wise that it can reference Springtime but that it is also fast. A first bloom and rapid growth? Very fast, even to the degree of opportunistic.
Clover can mean an unexpected windfall. Having a blessing or boon, often of Cash fall into our lap.
Due to its swiftness, we can also see it lending a quick wit, rapid, satirical and bombastic. A clover person will be jovial and have the gift of the gab.
It is also short-lived. This kind of luck or blessing never seems to last long. It is ephemeral. As quickly as your lawn might become a clover field. It will die back and be replaced with other crops.
In the manner of money, it is often as quickly spent as it is found. As the limits of this windfall are typically a few hundred dollars at max, enough to cover unexpected bill’s, or to enhance an evening of frivolity.
It indicated good favour in gambling and in some cases even a one night stand or similarly brief ‘romp in the grass’.
As always remember that Context is Key, and allow the space to consider what is being expressed broadly as well as narrowly.
Keep an eye out for tomorrows post, Ship.
Love and Manyfold Blessings.
