In the Getting Started with Lenormand post I provided a list of simple associations which included:
House, King of Hearts, Home, Family, Personal Endeavor’s, possibly Father, Square/Blocky
Here we see some more antiquated concepts. The House can mean the Father because in older western property law the title of land would have been held by the man. We can also see our connection to our Fathers family name and heritage.
The House can be square and block, so staunch and traditional, perhaps even stuffy and old fashioned.
However, the House can also be Sanctuary, Comfort, Security and Foundations. We begin and end our days in out homes. It is our personal ‘base’ and a nest for us to nurture ourselves and our projects.
As always remember that Context is Key, and allow the space to consider what is being expressed broadly as well as narrowly.
