Meeting the Lenormand: 7. Snake

In the Getting Started with Lenormand post I provided a list of simple associations which included:

Snake, Queen of Clubs, Venomous words, The ‘other’ woman, Treachery, Bindings, Complications.

Snake is a complex figure. Much like its worldly counterpart, it can drip venom from its fangs and lash out, causing harm. But snakes can also shed their skins. Being reborn and youthfully beautiful.
In practical observation, we would see a woman who is older, possibly of a severe disposition who wears glasses. It can also signify a Lesbian Lover.

Snake is seductive and insidious, they will slide into places that they should not be and cause trouble. Snake loves to manipulate to make matters more complicated.

A person who is signified by a snake is a betrayer and will seek to bring about destruction. Especially in the manner of a smear campaign to destroy your reputation.

Alternatively, this individual can be very sexual, even to the point of ravenous. But can be seen to be receptive rather than active. They want to be desired.

Snake also means bindings. Mundane, Legal or Magical. In practical use, we can see it winding around the person to restrict their freedom.

It can also show up in readings as a sign of Chthonic or underworld influences. Be mindful that when Snake appears that there are influences that are hiding waiting to strike.

As always remember that Context is Key, and allow the space to consider what is being expressed broadly as well as narrowly.

Keep an eye out for tomorrows post, Coffin.

Love and Manyfold Blessings.
