In the Getting Started with Lenormand post I provided a list of simple associations which included:
Bear, 10 of Clubs, Authority, Envy, Oppress, Possessive, possibly Protection.
Bear is the symbol of Authority. You can even read it as overbearing. However, this is an authority who can be prone to Envy and jealousy of what their companions have.
Bear signifying a person can be an indication of someone who is heavier. Much as a bear prepares for winter the Bear person is plump.
Bear can be Oppressive throwing their literal weight around, this is the person who likes to carry the mantle of their authority.
Possessiveness is also indicated by Bear. This can be hoarding of resources, or even of people. Be mindful of what Bear decides is ‘theirs’.
As always remember that Context is Key, and allow the space to consider what is being expressed broadly as well as narrowly.
