In the Getting Started with Lenormand post I provided a list of simple associations which included:
Mountain, 8 of Clubs, Challenges, Struggles, Blockages, Obstacles, Stubborn, Enemy, Trials
Mountain is nothing short of a Challenge. It looms before the Querant. Will they climb it? Or will they fall? It challenges our resolve and motivation.
In the manner that Mountain Challenges us, it also poses as the Blockages and Obstacles. Mountain will stand in your way and bar passage. It can also represent the roadblocks that others put in our way. This is also how Mountain can show us signs of our Enemies, Trails or Struggles.
Mountain can also be a sign of the Spiritual Journey we must take to reach knowledge, In itself a trial.
When referring to a person Mountain usually will indicate someone who is older either with white hair or bald/balding. It can also represent a person who is larger than life physically. But be mindful and cautious if it is referring to the person’s attitude or disposition.
As always remember that Context is Key, and allow the space to consider what is being expressed broadly as well as narrowly.
