In the Getting Started with Lenormand post I provided a list of simple associations which included:
Lillies, King of Spades, Sexuality, Contentment, Long-term Relationships, Morality, Honour, Paternal
Lillies are another remnant of the Patriarchal bias of the location and historical time period that Lenormand was created. This is due to the Card being able to show influences of the Patrilineal line. Specifically ancestral influences.
Lillies can also refer to Honour and Morality. But this is more the Sociocultural lens of what is considered honourable or moral. So it allows us to see what biases the person may still be embracing.
Sexuality is also spoken of by the Lillies. This is the flowing, sumptuous self-aware sexuality of a seasoned lover. The compassioned knowing intimacy formed by long partnerships and the ambrosia of empowered sex.
Contentment, comfort and having our needs met and fulfilled can be indicated by the Lillies.
Lillies can also indicate long-term relationships, platonic and romantic. But romantic and sexual are most strongly indicated here.
As always remember that Context is Key, and allow the space to consider what is being expressed broadly as well as narrowly.
