In the Getting Started with Lenormand post I provided a list of simple associations which included:
Cross, 6 of Clubs, Burdens, Religiosity, Traditions, Hardship, Stop (Termination).
The Cross. The final Card and termination of the Traditional Lenormand. Here we see Stop, the terminal end. There is no path beyond this point.
Cross also represents Burdens. Again a reference to the major cultural influences at its creation. But this is the Burden of Jesus dragging the Cross to his Crucifixion. Societal expectation, repression, programming and Religiosity are all seen here.
The Hardship of Crucifixion story is echoed here, in the challenges and trials that the Questionee may face.
Traditions are also alluded to with Cross. However, in the cumbersome manner of that which may need to be let go of, rather than being dragged along with us. There is liberation in the release.
As always remember that Context is Key, and allow the space to consider what is being expressed broadly as well as narrowly.
Keep an eye out for tomorrows post, Approaching the Lenormand.
Love and Manyfold Blessings.
